★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a wonderful experience here! We rode our bikes and when we arrived the owner offered us drinks and snacks to recover from the heat. He also gave us background about his shop being in the family for 4 generations. After we recuperated from the ride, he introduced us to his son who showed us how lacquerware was made and explained the difference between higher quality and average lacquerware. Following a tour of the shop we were able to peruse the high-end, family specific wares and the regular show room. They gave us plenty of time to look and we never felt pressured into buying anything. Both showrooms had beautiful and unique items that we couldn't leave without buying some wonderful mementos and gifts. Great place over all.

He can show you his workshop at the back of the shop. It's off the main road which means that there aren't many tourists - a refreshing experience when buying lackerware in Bagan!!
