★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Located in Bago. Around 1 hour drive from Yangon. Can go there as daycation. No entry fee. There are two sunset terraces. Small library with piano inside. Food is also not bad. There is a small swimming pool with entry fee 5000Kyats.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have stayed at Han Thar Gardens before it is the perfect place at the end or even the beginning of a trip. The hotel owner is Mi Mi, an English / Burmese lady who really made us feel welcome. The rooms are well appointed and provide everything you need.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hotel itself is at good location near to ***y visiting points. The sunset from the tree house is not to be missed. The hotel has views of the Golf course and surrounding fields. The owner and staff were so helpful and accommodating. On arrival, the young *** did not help us at all.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visited in November 2012 while finishing touches were being put to this wonderful hotel. Our hostess MiMi arranged our trip round Myanmar expertly and provided a very warm welcome. My husband and I had the luxury of staying in the Grand Deluxe room and our adult children and their partners stayed in the Family Room.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Looking back after a big round trip through Myanmar this was by far the best place we stayed at. I was immediately attracted to the interesting garden path from the car park to the hotel which looks more like a grand residence than a hotel. Nice hotel located at good location.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I really enjoyed the ambience of the Han Thar Gardens. The room itself was relatively large. The design of our bedroom and bathroom was thoughtful and elegant. All the staff we found more than willing to help or give advice. These people seemed genuinely happy to do things for us.

Staffs are warm and friendly to try and cater to all needs.
Fresh air are plentiful due to lush nature surrounding.
Able to experience comfort admist without driving too far from Yangon.
Menu are relatively limited but all items are quality, especially the cakes.
