★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I stayed here for three nights in the off season and rented one of the available bungalows. The stay itself was quite nice, especially for a budget traveller. All in all, its a decent get away, but very pricey (in main season) for what it is and not clean enough.
Pro's: Pretty bungalows, comfortable beds with mosquito nets, nice bathroom, away from the main town; very friendly staff
Con's: Quite unclean (dirty towels and bed linen, unkept bathroom, too many spiders and cockroaches inside the room and bathroom); weak single fan, which can be too little during hot nights in hot season; no wifi; quite a long walk from the city, no shuttles to anywhere besides pick-up/drop-off for arrival and departure; below-average food at the hotel restaurant, its quite clear that cooking expertise is missing; and lastly: BED BUGS!
My stay was spoiled by bed bug bites that I got during the stay here. I first thought that I might have an allergic reaction and could not look up symptoms (no WiFi), but now that I know I'm very disappointed. However, it fits the picture that I got from the place. This issue needs to be fixed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very lovely place at the end of our voyage in myanmar. When you arrive by bus, personnel is already waiting at the main road to catch you up und bring you to the hotel area. Stuff and manager is very kind and helps you to organize the rest of your trip.
The bungalows are situated between banana trees and this looks great. Accomodation is roomy and clean but in some details also simple what it makes give you an exotic feeling of your stay.
It's right that there are some dogs and mosquitos around. But the dogs are frienndly. Against mosquitos you will need a mosquito net for the nights!
Electricity runs from 6pm to 6am. But this ain't no problem. Get yourself and your mobile a rest! There is no wifi.
Beach ist very close. But go a little further and the more cleaner and beautiful it will get.
You can rent a real motorbike there what means a lot of fun for short distances. We went 70 km with our bike and it was an experience: very nice landscapes for the price of pain in your back because of partly bad roads.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Looking for a pet friendly place, this is it, local so not luxurious, but the price reflects this. Definitely recommend, if you're into supporting real community tourism. Food was basic but did the job. Nice location and unlike the popular beaches there were cattle roaming the sand than people.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Many hotels in Chaung Tha mark up the price about MMK20,000 if u are foreigner, however this hotel is foreigner friendly with very good price. The staff speaks basic english. The hotel will pick u up early in the morning if u take night bus and allow u to check in without additional charges if the rooms are available. They also send u back to bus stop with small fees. Rooms are reasonably clean with choice of bamboo bunglows with fan or concrete bunglows with aircond. However electricity is only available night time. They also provide bicycle rental at Kyats4000 a day and motobike at Kyats10,000. Beach is only a few minutes away where u can sit and enjoy the beach and coconuts. Since the hotel restaurant also provide reasonable menu selection and price, u may only had your lunch and dinner there without the need to find food elsewhere.
It is important to note that there were dogs in the compound. I am not a fan of pets animal especially in the restaurant. Also there is 'waterpark' at the beach near the hotel, at times with loud music can be disturbing especially during weekend but i believe just limited to day time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 14 bungalows nestled among a beautiful grove of fruit trees and colorful vegetation.
Papaya, bananas, pineapples and plums are among the plants in the thoroughly maintained garden. A beach is a few minutes’ walk off and rooms on the south wing offer views of the Chaung Tha basin.
Rooms are simple spotless bungalows. They aren’t equipped with air-con but fans are available upon request; they’re not typically required as the hilltop location allows for a natural flow of fresh breeze. Power is available from 18:00 until 06:00 and there’s no WiFi, but plans are in the works. Rooms are equipped with hot water thanks to the solar water heater.
The food there was not great, so I would recommend eating out for dinner. If you want luxury I would recommend staying elsewhere, but enjoyed it for local beach Chaung Thar.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really love this place! This is first trip of my daughter, 4 years old baby. She is very happy for her first experience to the beach. She love swimming at the pool and she also like to play at the playground. But, i think the playground is not safe for baby. She also love go around in garden and organic farm. Room rate and meals price are fair but weak in care of room service. In conclusion, this is nice hotel you should choose at ChaungTha Beach, Myanmar.
