★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A nice hotel to stay in Mandalay, walkable distance form the Mandalay fort and a taxi ride away from Mandalay hill
Has a nice restaurant serving western and local dishes
Hospitality at its best! Remember Burmese are the nicest people on earth!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good reasonable hotel near Mandalay Hill area. Amazing service and friendly staff. Only downer is that the breaker was shut down many times, which stopped air conditioning...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'd like to give 0 star if possible.
bad service at all.
I called to book a room at 8:26AM & told them i will arrive hotel around 9:30AM local time. They answered if I take standard or superior double-bed room, I have to wait for the room to be checked-out by guests. Only the deluxe room can be checked-in instantly. So I decided to take that room & leave my name & phone no.
Who knows after arriving the hotel around 9:45AM, they said the deluxe room is no more available with a million reasons. This time they said the superior room will be available soon after the house keepind and tell me to wait about 5 minutes.
Their 5 minutes word last me about 20 minutes in reception. Now I m in the room with so much dissatisfactions.
The room is nice with its reasonable price. But I will give no star for their servies & irresponsibilities.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have spent 7 days in Hotel Yadanar Oo. The atmosphere is splendid. I can say it is relax and quiet, free from buzzing vehicles. I like the hotel very much.Spacious, clean and comfortable room. Affordable prices. The hotel crews greet you whenever they see you. They do accept card payment, USD or local cash. If you need to go anywhere, and you require assistance such as booking coach bus to Yangon, or anywhere. They will render their help towards. Do not be afraid if there is a language barrier. Some of the hotel crews are able to speak english. There is swimming pool at the back which is clean. The hotel is also near the Mandalay palace, markets, shopping malls, restaurants. Therefore, it is very convenient. You are also able to rent motorcycle or their bicycle at cheap rates.
There is a brolly sky bar is at the third floor.
Food is tasty. Affordable prices of the food and alcohol. Everyone is friendly and service is excellence. Best experiences are to go at evening time where you you can see pagoda at the hill, nice view. They provided the customers with breakfast. The food menu has seafood, chicken beef and pork ( pardon me as it is non halal for the Muslim ) They have western, local, Thai, Chinese delicacies to choose from. The food presentation is neat and the food portion is generous. They close the restaurant at 2230HRS. They have promotions at times too, like the Happy Hours. Do look out for the promotions in their facebook website. I have a wonderful holiday there. I will go back to the same hotel and stay there again. Cheers!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We recently stayed at this hotel which was one of several during our trip through Myanmar. We had requested a non smoking room and the room was displaying the No Smoking sign, but all we could smell each time we would re-enter the room was the smell of cigarettes. Added to this the first day we went up for breakfast which was an hour or more prior to the breakfast finish time, there were only small servings which had been scraped into small piles left in the buffet warming trays and there were 3 pieces of bread. When we asked was there any more, it was communicated that was all that was left, including no more bread. In fairness one of the staff did go out and purchase more bread. Following days were better but the choices were largely Asian noodles and rice, but eggs were also available. The pool also was the worst we had come across anywhere in our decades of travelling, the water was extremely cloudy and green. I think this was due to a lack of knowledge about pool care more than anything else, but it was very un-inviting. Communication with staff in the hotel was very difficult apart from to young gentlemen who would be on duty at different times of day. Aside from the communication generally all staff were extremely helpful and courteous, a bright spot in an otherwise lack lustre stay. At this time I could not recommend this hotel as it's management has a lot to learn about serving tourists from other parts of the world. The hotels location is okay close to the Palace and Mandalay Hill, but is a bit of distance from the centre of town and other points of interest. There is a small number of restaurants nearby, but most are more expensive than the usual in other areas. The exception would be "Container 65" about a 5 minute walk around the corner at the back of the hotel.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There's not very much positive I can say about my experience at this hotel except for the brand new staff who was trying very hard to please me.The hotel is not carefully run. The rooms themselves are okay and have nice furniture to accommodate many things, but the hot water doesn't work well; the toilet in my room was broken from the first day I moved in, and after having the plumber come twice, they still didn't fix it; I found a large piece of a metal sponge in my breakfast food (which is all Chinese and very salty and oily with little variety -- I order scrambled eggs very specifically off the breakfast menu and received fried bread with a tiny layer of egg spread on it); the staff in the restaurant has weak English skills so it's difficult to order (and they do use MSG); the owner is Chinese and accepts many large Chinese tour bus groups, which makes for very noisy mornings with lots of shouting and door-slamming; and worst of all, after taking my money for a month and moving in, I was informed two days later that they made a mistake on the reservations and someone had already specifically requested my room and I would have to move out for 5 days and then move back in.
All the bicycles they advertise were broken when I arrived and asked about them.
Pool is too dirty to want to swim in and has only 3 chairs cramped in a small area. For the money, there are lots of other options in Mandalay where I'll have a working toilet, warm water, and much better service.
