山門にはパアンのシンボル、カエル狛犬が鎮座している。山門付近は観光客には入りづらい雰囲気だし、基本的に観光寺院というより修行僧のいる僧院なのだが、静かに参詣すればよかろう。
名前のパアメータンは「黒いカエルの山」の意味。

In the mountain gate, the symbol of Paan, a frog dog, is enshrined. The area near the mountain gate is a difficult atmosphere for tourists, and it is basically a monastery with a monk rather than a tourist temple, but it would be nice if you could attend quietly.
The name Paametan means "black frog mountain".

Well what everyone fails to mention is that the sun "sets" behind tall hills to the West, so it's not like the sky turns radiant colors when it goes down, it just goes out of view.
