★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is most impressive from any spot around its own little lake. When you actually go to the rocky grag and view the pagoda, it is not as impressive. It's also a let-down because you can't climb all the way to the top. There's little/no shade here so coming early in the morning or at sunset would be best. But that's just my opinion, obviously do what you want and don't let others dictate how you spend YOUR time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A bit of a drive south of Hpa-An, Kyawt Ka Latt Pagoda is a must-visit in Kayin State! Depending on the season, the pagoda and most importantly the background, will be a bit foggy (as seen in some of the pictures below). Take a photo of the sheer limestone formation with the golden pagoda on top of it with the reflection on the surface of the still waters. Chan Thar Gyi Temple is the massive structure near the Pagoda.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would only say that it was okay, but I was glad we visited, as it is picturesque and has great views of Mt Zwekabin. The actual visit was short. Walk across a foot bridge to the artificial island and remove your shoes. Walk around and up narrow stairways. You cannot go all the way to the top. Picture taking is not encouraged, this is a place of prayer. Silence is encouraged by signs that are ignored. Local tourists frequently stop foreigners to take pictures with them. (If this bothers you, don't visit Myanmar!)
Before visiting we went to lunch at the nearby monastery (we were with a large group of our Burmese students) for a very good (free) vegetarian meal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kyaut Ka Lat Pagoda is made up of beautiful rock formations in a serene lake atop a limestone pinnacle with Mt Zwekabin as the backdrop. The small platform on top is used for meditation. No photography is allowed as the platform is narrow. Nice!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing Pagoda on the top of the rock. Really fascinating how it has been built.
This is also an amazing Sunset point for photographers and lovers : the area is totally peaceful, and all you have to do is enjoy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great spot for sunset the Pagoda sits on the top of a rock formation in the middle of the lake. Seriously big fish in the lake and some other animals. You can't climb all the way up just like 7m up to some praying point so don't expect to go to the top. Still a fun place to spend your sunset time
