★ ★ ★ ★ ★ El monestir en si és com molts altres. El que me va agradar és que arribàrem sobre les 11 i tant els monjos com els participants a un retir de meditació anaven a fer la seva menjada. Molt amables, convidaven altra gent.
 The monastery itself is like many others. What I liked was that we arrived about 11 and both the monks and the participants in a meditation retreat were going to make their meal. Very friendly, they invited other people.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very peaceful hillside monastery located on the eastern bank of Inle Lake near Maing Thauk village. The chief monk with thirty or so young monk students from different part of Shan State just focus on their daily chores such as cleaning the compund, washing robes, preparing table layout and dishes on the table, learning, meditation and saying prayers etc. The view of the lake from the pagoda is facinating as is the detached face of the main Buddha inside the pagoda.
