★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We decided to stay here given that most guesthouses and hostels in Mawlamyine have horrendous ratings (which is due to the monopoly position of these places as there are not many around). Luckily we were very pleasantly surprised to find this great accomodation which boasts brand new rooms with aircon, foam mattress and even a TV with more than two channels (not that we really watched anyway).
The room and adjoining bathroom are clean and very tidy. Staff are friendly and eager to help. Definitely recommend this place as other places such as Breeze are not very pleasant to stay at.
I think this is a fairly new place as the camera's were not yet hooked up and unfortunately the wifi does not yet work. I also would've given it 5 stars if it had decent breakfast but unfortunately they don't as of now.
Pro's:
- Clean and nice room
- Foam mattress
- Lovely staff
- 20.000 per night (!) for a private room
Con:
- No wifi yet
- No (real) breakfast, its more a bun and coffee
