The best remnants of 18th century murals in Salingyi
Township. During the reigns of King Bodaw and King
Bagyidaw Mon Ywe Sayataw was the head of the
Monk. Former Monywe Sayataw, the chairman of
the Hman Nan History when he was young It was
originally called Mon Ywe Monastery because
it was the place where he was educated.
Before Mon Ywe Sayadaw came to study Monasteries
in Salingyi teach Pitaka literature It used to be that now
only the old pagodas and murals are about to collapse
It remains as evidence.
Mon Ywe Temple No.(1) is about to collapse
Renovated to January 12, It was Renovated in
2010 and dates back to the 18th century the murals
were preserved.
Inside the pagoda, two pagodas have murals and
were the first to be restored This pagoda is named
as Mon Ywe Temple No.(1).
At present, both Mon Ywe Temple No.1 and
No.2 have been Renovated and maintained To
keep the murals alive Preserved by the Myanmar
Archaeological Department taking care of it.
