The best remnants of 18th century murals in Salingyi
Township. During the reigns of King Bodaw and King
Bagyidaw Mon Ywe Sayataw was the head of the
Monk. Former Monywe Sayadaw, the chairman of
the Hman Nan History.
when he was young It was originally called Mon Ywe
Monastery because it was the place where he was
educated.
Before Mon Ywe Sayataw came to study Monasteries

At present, both Mon Ywe Temple No.1 and No.2
have been Renovated and maintained To keep the
murals alive Preserved by
the Myanmar Archaeological Department taking
care of it.
