★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is the two-storey old colonial villa where the Governors of Pyay City & family resided in colonial time. It is located on Mingyi Hill (Mingyi is derived from Burmese word “မင်းကြီး” which Burmese people called “Governor” in colonial time) from where the whole Pyay City, Irrawaddy River, Nawaday Bridge & mountain ranges on western bank of the river can be seen beautifully & panoramically. The very famous Burmese film “Tapyithi-Ma-Shwe-Htar” was cast in this villa in around 1990. Then local people & visitors know it more as Tapyithu-Ma-Shwe-Htar Villa after the film.
