Hot showers, good breakfast where you can get eggs to order and local noodle soup if you all the night before, friendly English speaking staff, good location to food. They also have same day laundry service if you get it there before 8:00am. We would definitely stay there again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The room amenities did not seem as high class as my previous visits. TV signal was bad and not all channels could be reached at any given time. Bathroom includes shower with no shower stall so all liquids drain to corner drain in this room. Limited English spoken. Please avoid the governemental hotel.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ***y kinds of treks to a variety of villages can be organised through the hotel. The staff were very helpful and always keeping a schedule of airline flights etc. For dinner we ate at the Golden Banyan restaurant, just round the corner from the hotel which had good quality food as well as an english menu.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Please keep things in perspective: this area of the notorious golden triangle has only recently opened up for tourists. I think it is a matter of training to clean to international standards. The hotel is well located in town easy walking distance to a few Chinese restaurants. Reasonable rates which we realised when we converted some money back into Baht.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Enjoyed our stay in Kyiang Tong, trekking to villages in the enjoyable company of our local guide, MATT. I am assuming the difference is the standard does not have a bathroom/shower since there is a shower room located off the hall on each floor. Bathroom is clean and just about adequate.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Keng Tung is great BTW, they don't get a ton of tourists and were amazingly friendly and welcoming. The lobby has a good amount of seating and front desk affords plenty of rooms for bags when checking in/out. Went for the trekking which was enjoyable but ask for the town itself.
