It is two star hotel but it is very clean and the service is excellent.

Sein Hotel is the new hotel in Katha. It is very high-standard and suitable for tourists. It is situated in the middle of the town and the good place to take a trip.

Turned up late one night without a booking. Stayed 5 nights. Staff treated me like royalty. Rooms were clean and spacious and spacious. Huge free breakfasts. 5

I recently stayed at Sein Hotel in Katha for 4 nights, and it was a wonderful experience. The room we stayed in was great, the sheets were clean with an air condition. In case you are wondering what would happen to air condition if the electricity goes out, they have their own generator to maintain electricity of the hotel. The bathroom was clean with running hot water. They provided some complimentary soap/toothbrushes/toothpastes. There is also a TV with 12 channels available so you can watch some TV during your downtime. The services provided by the hotel made the stay more pleasurable. We arrived pretty late in Katha, but the reception is open 24/7 so it made it easy to check-in. They have complimentary breakfast, either buffet at the rooftop restaurant or have it brought to the room. Their room service is great since they are able to run and grab food/drinks that the hotel may not offer. One of favorite things about this hotel is the rooftop bar/restaurant. This is a perfect dining spot in Katha as it overlooks the city. This is a perfect place to unwind after a long day of traveling. Even on a hot day, there is a nice, cool breeze coming from the river. The food at Sein Hotel's restaurant is also one of the best in Katha whether you are in for Burmese or Chinese cuisine. Another favorite is the location of the hotel as it is in the center of the city so you don't have to go far to find what you are looking for. Sein hotel is fairly cheap and affordable for everyone from businessmen/women to backpackers.

Best hotel I have ever stayed in. Normally I don't write reviews because I'm to lazy and actually hard to satisfy but in this case I do. I arrived before check-in time but could already go to my room, which was very nice. The room is good and the breakfast on the rooftop very nice. However, what's really outstanding is the service. Staff is incredibly friendly. I asked them to book the 5 am boat to Mandalay for me. The evening before departure they showed me by motorcycle where the jetty is. In the morning they gave me a wake up call and a doggy bag with breakfast even though I haven't even ask for this. They must have made it fresh, just before I left at 4:30. I noticed that they even sent the elevator to my floor so that I don't have to wait for it in the morning. I have never experienced such an attentive service and believe me, I travel a lot. @ Sein Hotel: Thank you very much. About the city of Katha: it's a relaxing place and definitely worth a visit, especially if you read Burmese days by George Orwell.

Located on the corner of the main road, this hotel is the best placed in Katha. Delicious breakfast included, with helpful staff and view to the river, I couldn't have wished for more! Rooms are clean, Aircon works and bed is comfy. Short walk to the morning market or the night market right below the windows. If I come back, I would definitely stay here again.
