★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Attention, l'église est fermée. Notre guide a demandé à des enfants qui jouaient à proximité si ils avaient les clefs. La famille vivant à proximité dans la maison verte les avait.
Please note, the church is closed. Our guide asked children who were playing nearby if they had the keys. The family living nearby in the green house had them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ St Matthew's Church, in Mawlamyine, is a beautiful red bricks structure with a nice open space, and an excellent backdrop to capture shots of the lovely skies. This church was attended by George Orwell. A pity that it is now abandoned.
