★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As a Chinese person, I would say the food is authentic and very delicious. As we were the only table, the food was served quickly. The price is high for local standards though - more than 4,000 kyats for vegetables, 6,500 kyats for tofu and 7,500 kyats for a rice set (with meat, vegetables and soup). That said, the portion size was generous.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Star Tea House offers a nice selection of Chinese and Sichuan styled dishes. The interior provides an interesting selection of colourful art and artificial grapevines hanging from the ceiling.
The food can be somewhat bland however and the identity of the restaurant could be more exact. Some Chinese lanterns would be nice?
Also, Star Tea House has a good selection of alcohol on offer as well as some beer taps. It would be a great experience if they made use of the bar by having stools to cater to those looking just for a drink. Unfortunately, the absence of the bar alternative makes Star Tea House just another restaurant which serves beer.
