★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed as part of outward journey to Chin Mountains trek holiday and on return before ***dalay. The rooms were large and well air conditioned. The rooms are of timber construction with a small front deck for sitting and enjoying the peace. The staff were friendly and helpful. The staff is very pleased and aims to please.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The rooms are clean and tidy. The breeze feels nice when I sit on the terrace of my room as it was a hot and dry day. The staff were friendly and helped with bike rental and transport. I would recommend it to family and friends and would love to go back and visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a nice place to chill and sit by the pool but is a bit middle of nowhere. The room was very clean. Our large room had a veranda overlooking the garden. The staff was very friendly. The staff even decorated our bed with petals in the shape of hearts.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A good buffet breakfast was included and in the evening you can have supper on their lawns which have floodlite ruins of a small stupa. The bed was comfortable. I could hear the couple below me snore and talk. I was able to connect in the hotel reception area but this required an enormous amount of patience and perseverence.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hotel was very beautiful and located in new Bagan. Very quiet and pretty location. In overall its very open there and not much privacy as in Europe massage s*****s. The hotel is in a very nice setting and has a swimming pool which is a great asset after trekking around the temples of Bagan all day.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hotel is a few hundred yards from the main street down a dusty unlit road. The whole complex is meticulously well kept and aesthetically appealing. There's a very nice pool and restaurant/bar area overrlookingsome stupas. The gaggle of pool/ bar/restaurant staff did not help move sun beds or bring towels; they just watched.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff were wonderful complete with smiles and cold towels on return from exploring the thousands of stupas in the area. We stayed in a deluxe room which was lovely and all made of teak. The rooms are spacious if a little dark and are individual chalets. We were content and comfortable at Thazin as long as you have access to rtansport in and out of the hotel.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A nice hotel near the centre of New Bagan. It is located some distance from the main road, about 10 minutes along a dusty side road with no footpath.
Some of the facilities in the room needed some maintenance, the shower did not have sufficient pressure (particularly for the large showerhead used) and it was quite hard to get the right water temperature. The toilet cistern kept leaking into the bowl and needed tweaking to get the cistern to fill up. The Wi-Fi did not work in the room, even though the signal was strong.
Breakfast is a la cart and quite nice, you get to choose between several different main meal options. The service was good.
We also had dinner at the hotel, it was very tasty. If you're looking for other dinner options there is a restaurant 2 minutes away - Mi San restaurant. The food there is just as tasty only cheaper. There did not appear to be much else in the immediate vicinity.
Overall not a bad hotel, with a potential to improve once they fix the faulty facilities mentioned above.
