★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My favourite tea shop in kalaw. whenever i want to have a good tea, i used to go to u lay gyi restaurant. some said masalah tea is very tasty but masalah tea is not my choice. good to sit in with high chairs. indian foods and sweets are available there. the best place to enjoy the quietness and i highly recommend it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A family run restaurant with a cozy front of house and a beautiful garden with colorful flowers. As per the name ''U Lay Gyi''(Uncle), a warm and hospitable uncle will meet you and take your orders.
Food are quick enough to be served, clean and delicious.
Local shan noodles, coffee, tea, yogurt and milk as well as delicious chapati and puri can also be ordered here.
