★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice cozy restaurant, right beside river (mosquitos though, repellent is a must). Good authentic kayan food n drinks. Well worth the try, food on spicy side as should be expected of kayan traditional food. That said, non spicy food also available.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best authentic Kayan traditional food you can find in the Heart to Yangon. Nice Surrounding give you relax. Most of the time table are full so try to contact booking before you go. Don't forget to try Pan fry beef ( Spicy and sweet ) with traditional drink Kaung Yee (fermentation drink).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So we where luck to get to know about this place because of a write-up on the irrawaddy website about the Kayan Khaung Yay Festival.
A festival showcasing Kayan culture and alcohol.
As for the food there are very few ways you could go wrong .... By few i mean being vegetarian. So if you are not vegetarian, you are in luck as the food is excellent.
The fact the it sits on the bank of a river also helps.Mosquitos exist, they have something to deal with it. So that's that.
There is not much point in going on about the festival as it happens ony once a year and this is the 3rd year(2019). Hopefully they will find a way to make it happen more often.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice view on river side, beautiful place to take photos and a place to release the stress in open speace. We got the chance to taste the traditional authentic rice wine and verity of foods. The restaurant received good reviews from the guests on media and from facebook users.
