★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Wonderful Guesthouse is basic, but clean and comfortable. The person at the Guesthouse could not have been more helpful to us. He bought our train tickets for us at 6 a.m. so that we could have breakfast.

Rooms are small and older. But well cleaned. Pretty loud (angry neighbors arguing for quite a while and the mainroad is pretty close).
For one night this place is quite ok. But expect a very basic standard. For the price of 20.000 Kjiats.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In little city, where taxi from station not exist (but cute horse cart yes!) also isnt five star hotels. Dont wait it. This accommodation is simple, but clean with very friendly staff (family). Room was littlebit noisy from outside, bathroom is minimalistic, if is. In category and in this city absolute without problems.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A really welcome oasis after a long train journey from Yangon! We arrived with no booking, and were shown to a decent double room with AC, cost 20,000. A couple of things were wrong with the room (light and shower) but they fixed it straight away. They were very accommodating for us needing to get the train at 7am next day, booking a horse and carriage to the station, packing a breakfast (4000 each), and even coming to the station with us, purchasing the tickets and showing us the right platform. Highly recommended!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I often go to Thazi and am always welcomed to this friendly, clean and easy to find guesthouse. I was amazed to see it wasn't a 5 star ranking and looking back on the reviews they are almost all 5/5. The few 1/5 star reviews have no comments given for why such a low ranking. It's an excellent guesthouse, can find bicycles to rent for the day and send u off to the Kalaw train with a packed breakfast.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed here 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed my stay.. the management couldn't do enough to make my stay enjoyable. I was given a free ride to and from a nearby town as the manager had a meeting there.. I opted for an en suite room with fan and air con although I only needed the fan as it was not high Summer. The bed was extremely comfortable and although the shower was only Luke warm it was perfectly ok.. they don't do meals in the evening but plenty of places to dine although these tend to be beer station type places.. WiFi was as good as I think it gets.. never lost connection.. thoroughly recommended..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed here twice while cycling Myanmar and they are the most hospitable and friendly family that went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. The room itself is small and fairly basic but very clean. We had the ensuite room with aircon and fan and found it very comfortable. We felt super safe and bikes also stored inside. Room rate 20000.
Location is perfect on the main street and great tea house next door that appears to never close and does great food also.
Would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

Owner takes very good care of the guests.
The rooms are to the back side, so it’s not too loud. Rooms are clean and the private bathroom works out well.
A perfect stay specially if you want to take the slow train 141 the next morning.
Try out the near by market if you still have time.
