★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We got a deluxe garden room that came with an amazing view. Very well furnished. Came with a simple outdoor balcony as well. Love the dinner/breakfast outdoor location alongside the irrawady river. Very relaxing and nice ambience. There are also some local arts performance over dinner (helpful given that Bagan has not much of a nightlife). Overall had a very comfortable stay!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a comfortable stay at Thande Hotel. We had looked forward to spending a quiet afternoon by the pool which looks very attractive in the pictures. The shower was superb with a rain shower head that was very welcome at the end of a hot day exploring. The buffet had a vast selection of savoury and sweet breakfast. Great location spotless and friendly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quiet resort hotel with rich old historic style bungalow rooms surrounded by trees, shrubbery, native plants and the Irrawaddy river. Very humble and friendly staff provide sincere quick service for you. Buffet breakfast consists of western and Burmese fare. I look forward to returning in the future.
Only negative is the presence of large amounts of visible trash, along the roadside, leading to hotel. Hopefully community education about the environmental impact of abandoning trash improperly will improve the conditions.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Overall we enjoyed our stay there and would come back. The hotel is very well located, close the the Pagodas and with nice view to the river. If you stay there, don't miss the sunset, and don't bother going anywhere else. It's probably the best sunset spot in Bagan. Breakfast was above average. On the other hand, the rooms could use better maintenance, the service is not very good, and any service that you need to pay for is extremely expensive. I was surprised to see that the restaurant was packed with people during dinner time, while excellent restaurants only 3000 Kyats and 5 minute drive from there hardly have any customers. We ate outside all three nights that we stayed there. We probably had better food, better service and for 25% of the price it costs in the hotel restaurant.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The location is fabulous. From the hotel you can walk around the temples in Old Bagan very easily. The view over the river is very relaxing and the sunsets are perfect. The food is great too. The rooms are clean and comfortable with a bit of a faded old world charm. A room overlooking the river is essential. It also has a great pool.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing resort. Don’t have expect modern rooms, they are definitely dated but are very clean, and the beds are comfortable enough. We stayed 2 nights. The river view is one of the highlights along with the accommodating staff. We booked 2 4 hour tours each day we were there and the last one with a guide. Very cheap and worth it. If you are brave enough I would suggest renting a motor bike to tour around yourself especially if you are going to watch the hot air balloons.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Brilliant place really miss it, staff was great, and location for temples , food a little high priced, had some nice Western food like a nice burger and chips, which makes a nice change if you have been travelling for a while. Breakfast was good, beautiful surroundings, tip of the day would be to rent the E bikes from the hotel, there good, the hotel doesn't take advantage. brilliant place, also get a guide, i used a polite young lad, you genuinely bump into them when you drive out the hotel on the road, they see your confused, just ask if they will show you around, they ask at the end of the day to buy a painting they have done as payment to say thanks (£25_30) well worth it. My guy push us back after the battery had died. If you want the guy i used just message me and i will send it, really nice lad, and its good to help

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good location. Great hotel, specially for ones who want to immerse yourself in nature. Very friendly and helpful staff. A very nice restaurant by the river and beneath a gorgeous tree, where you can enjoy having your dinner, sipping a glass of cocktail and watching the sun setting down the mountain far away. Rooms are reasonably big and comfy, located between gardens with hundreds of kinds of plants and trees. Has a pool and spa too. Loved it here. Would definitely come back next time!
