★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This hotel was very excellent! The restaurant was wonderful with a great staff, quality entertainment, and excellent food. Our room was nice and spacious, with a few mosquitos, but it wasn’t an issue. The breakfast was incredible, with lots of options. The staff was helpful and friendly. There are plenty of pagodas and temples within walking distance and even one on the property.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pool and restaurant are extremely nice. Also in a great part of town and e-bike rentals are available for a VERY good price. The staff is also extremely accommodating and I enjoyed meeting every one of them. My room had a lot of jumping bugs on the bed, which is my only complaint. To be fair, I did not address the issue with the staff, so they never had a chance to resolve the issue.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Umbra Hotel is great. The pool area is very nice (although the water is too cold unless you are used to cold water or you come from northern countries). Free shows at night will keep you entratained. A few excellent restaurant to enjoy local food just next-door. The rooms are nothing special but adequate. Service and breakfast were top-notch!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hotel is located on the edge of the village on the right side for visiting the temples. My room was very clean and comfortable. A double would have been better than two single beds as I'm not small. The staff were very friendly and helpful to me as I was travelling alone. The food was very good especially breakfast. Happy hour cocktails were good. But after reading previous reviews I am very disappointed that the WiFi is still only one star. The backpackers hostel down the road was better reception. It appears that the hotel does not care as this failure has been raised repeatedly now. Shame as otherwise it was perfect

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pros: Rooms were good, customer service was great. Everyone was always smiling.
Cons: F&B was overpriced. We misplaced one of our key cards, they charged us for that which was silly. Most hotels are able to deactivate key cards which I assume they could too. A hotel policy that they really need to work on! Not a very creative way to make money off guests.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Location is great. It is at Nyaung U and very close to famaous temples. The landscape is nice. If you get the room upstairs the view is amazing. It has temples and pagoda views. The pool is nice and the breakfast is fine. Staff are friendly and helpful. Drinking coffee at your balcony and enjoying the view of the temples is the best. I did enjoy my stay here even I had a one night stay due to fully booked.

The grand deluxe room (temple view) is perfect in terms of decoration, view and love the soil smell getting in morning.
Definitely I will choose this hotel again in next trip.
PS. Variety of food for breakfast, but the taste is not there.
