★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Nan Myint Tower in Bagan is great place to watch Sunrise, the Balloon ride (of others) and Sunset. I recommend to go there in the morning and evening on the same day, as you pay 5$/person and it covers entry from 5am till 10pm,meaning both, Sunrise and Sunset. View is beautiful, but u need to find a good spot. Arrive at least 20min before actual sunrise and 45min before actual sunset, its so crowded! They hold happy hour from 4 to 6pm with promo of "Buy 1,get 1 free",but..price for a Coke can is 4$=6000kyats,when in shops 400kyats,same for beer, similar for coctails. Enjoy, is worth the view.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is one of the best sunrise and sunset viewpoint, because it is the tallest tower in Bagan. With 360 degree view, u can see all the temple, balloons, fog, birds and everything u want.
A five dollars ticket can bring double fun, u can see the sunrise and sunset same day.
However, there is a lot of people here, especially Chinese. I think visit the tower is one of the selling point of the chines tour.
The top is 12 floor,but the elevator only bring u to 11 floor, u have go up stair to see the best view.
If u have time, wait till all the tour traveler is gone, u can enjoy a peace and wonderful mument.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This tower is popular among tourists to catch the sunrise and sunset, as it rises >10 storeys above the flat landscape of ancient bagan. However, it is a safety hazard, as visitors have to walk up a flight of narrow curving stairs from the highest lift lobby to the small viewing platform. Imagine when a fire breaks out! The elevators are also not well-maintained, and usually over-loaded with passengers so that the latter can arrive on the platform in time to catch the sunset. I have been stuck in the elevator here before, and the lift doors were forced open and we were asked to squeeze through the small hole (the lift was stuck at half floor) to get back to the lift lobby. Please take care of your personal safety when you come.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Second best view to riding a balloon but a bit of a scam, you can only use the ticket twice in one day so probably for sunrise and sunset. The balloons pass right by it and it gets very crowded with people and tourists! Get there early to secure a spot and don’t be the jerk hitting people with your camera!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Must go viewing point for taking in the amazing landscape of Bagan. This 13 story (66m) tower provides a great vantage point to be able to see more pagodas at one time than you will ever see at any other moment of your life!
There is a restaurant here, ATM's and they a local arts for sale.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good place to see the whole of Bagan - particularly busy around sunset. USD 5 for entry - a free drink would be nice for that price - and good views from the top. A must-have experience for aerial photos of temples, but only if you have a bazooka lens and a proper camera. Phone photos don’t look too great (written at the time of iPhone XS Max and Note 10)

I have visited on 06/07/2022.
I rode on an e-bike to reach this place. It was a wasted trip as this viewing tower has been closed for 2 years!??
I do not think it is going to open any sooner due to political instability. It looks run-down and lack of costly maintenance.
