★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful hotel. We visited right right after the COVID-19 restrictions were relaxed. It was interesting to see that some staff wore mask all the time while some did not. The hotel also hosted a large gathering (some office retreat) whereby majority of the people wore no mask. This was alarming considering the pandemic.
Breakfast buffet was decent, but staff rarely refilled when food ran out. The coffee was excellent and so was the margarita (only cocktail i tried).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This would be a 5 star review if the on site bar didn't close at 21:00. A swimming pool would have been nice too. The rooms are quite large and we'll appointed. The bar had a cozy pub like feel. The dining room was comfortable as well. All the staff were really friendly too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Old Aged Hotel Built since 1903 AD. During Pandemic of Covid 19, Hotel charged 3000MMK/Person for visiting Hotel and Photoshooting.
But they will issue Coupons as your Entrance fee and You can use it at Hotel Bar. ☺️☺️
Highly Recommend to Visit there, You will never regret.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful old and large hotel located slightly away from the main town centre. The hotel also arranged a fire pit which was great to sit around at night. The bar has a nice classic feel.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Definitely a must stay hotel if you visit Kalaw. A beautiful and tranquil place to stay and take photos. The staff are friendly, polite, and hospitable. The rooms are separated into three buildings - Pines (the main building with reception, lounge, bar, restaurant), Acorn, and Tudor. There is a lawn with furniture to relax and a tennis court to play tennis or badminton (equipment provided by the hotel for free). Rooms are cleaned daily and amenities are filled attentively. The restaurant food is also not bad with reasonable pricing. The breakfast experience can be improved by adding more variety of choices though; we had almost the same options for the entire duration of 4-day stay.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The room is not worth the price and the front desk lady is just a pain in the **S. I would never return. But it has a nice location, one of the heritage sites, nice scenery, good food. They want to go eco-friendly by not providing water bottles and make it difficult for the guests. The guests have to refill their own bottles only by going down the stairs. There should be more refill stations if you want to go plastic free or many other ways.
