★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a beautiful stretch of place along the famous Strand Road of Mawlamyine to enjoy cool breeze in the heat of tropical Down town of Mawlamyine.
I revisited this riverside place after a long 55 years in 1964. I find built-up places in the strand road and the river is the same confluencing with the Gulf of Martaban.
Then, a bazaar was in interface with this area

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mawlamyine is famous for its variety of delicious foods. The river side is excellent place to chill while enjoying the sunset view. But one-use plastic package need to be reduced to keep the river clean. Local authority should take action with trash collection at the river side and set strict disciplines with the shop owners with plastic usage.
