The Si Thu Pan Pagoda has undergone renovations
from time immemorial. Inside the pagoda, the Buddha
statue is a wooden sculpture from the Bagan period.
The second pillar of the Bagan period in the inscription
for the pagoda It is described as Narapati Situ
(Second Sithu, 12th century).
The inscription on the bell at the entrance of the
present pagoda contains the date of the Nyaung yan
period. According to the 18th century Salingyi
survey, there are two pagodas, Taung sin and Si Thu.
