★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We got there on our last night in Kalaw and totally loved it! I had a lot of massages during my seven months in Asia but this one was by far the BEST! Soe Thein and his brother Soe Win have a combined experience of 80 years in doing massages and you can feel in every second of your massage. On top they are both very kind and funny and practice their english skills by telling you about their country. Just go there or give them a call to arrange a date because it is totally worth every penny :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An hour of traditional Burmese massage from Master Soe the evening before the trek will be one of the best decisions you take in Myanmar. He has magica fingers and is amazing to talk to, in fact you won’t even realise how time flies. Also a great singer(knew countless Hindi songs we’d only ever heard of!) - if you want a massage in Kalaw, this is where you should go.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Directions: First off, this place is difficult to find. It's mapped wrongly in the Rough Guide as well. Master Soe Thein is based in a wooden shack set back slightly from the main road roughly opposite the 7 Sisters restaurant. You access it via some crumbling steps from the main road pavement. At the time of writing, it was not possible to see his sign from the road.
This traditional massage was a highlight of our trip to Myanmar. My girlfriend and I both wanted a massage so he called his brother to help out. Both of them learnt the Pa-o art of massage from their grandfather and between them have seventy years of practice. The massage was sensational and lasted around 45 minutes for a reasonable price. You lie down on the carpet in a basic wooden hut. I just wore shorts and a t shirt and this was fine.
Chatting to Soe Thein during the massage made this a great travel experience. He is very eager to practice his English and we had a really interesting conversation about Myanmar culture etc.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I totally agree with all the other reviews! It was such a great massage. The brothers are really nice, charming and interesting people and they know what they are doing. Apparently it's a family tradition to do massages. They learned it from their grandfather and luckily they have 15 sons in total so they are passing on this amazing knowledge. The place is indeed not the most clean welness environment you may come across (it's literally one room with two blankets on the floor and a few pillows) but as soon as they start the massage you won't mind at all. Definitely go there!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 13000 Kyatt for an amazing massage, two older brothers who cures your back and are funny and interesting to talk with. They are supporting the village with schools and healthcare. You keep your clothes on and they go through your body with great hands.
After the sun flower take right( before the mini market) in front of the house where the signs are you take right. Be sure to call them since they are always with a customer if they are there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic traditional Pa'O massage. The actual massage space has been closed for more than a year because of COVID-19, but U Soe Thein or his brother can come to your hotel. The massage is full body and mostly uses a deep kneading technique. U Soe Thein was a great conversationalist and speaks great English. Give them a call or message on viber to schedule a massage.
