★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The worst experience with a hotel EVER:
Air conditioning - only 12pm to 7am makes it impossible to stay in your room during the day. We had problems with hot water as well. Also ZERO room service during our three days stay - when we complained about it (we run out of the toilet paper for example), we were told that Sunny Villa is a low budget option and therefore there is no room service. We had to ask for the mosquito net since we were eaten alive previous night. Every day started with loud workers right in front of our windows. Breakfast is not buffet-type if there is less then 20 guests in the hotel. The place itself looks nice and is has a great potential, however, we had to leave one day earlier because of such a poor service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place looks great but service was poor. Wait staffs are not aware of what customers need and want. Had to call the waiters again and again just to order food. Turn off air conditioning in the morning even when the power is on. Our first room smelled like mold so we asked to change the room. The second room was a bit better but the door lock broke. The toilet in the first room had yellowish/brownish stains. The second room’s toilet, looked new but sewage smell started leaking after the first flush. Mosquitoes in the room so make sure you ask for mosquito net. Beds are two twin beds in each rooom. The decor looked cute but they just don’t maintain it. The pool was a great touch with very strong smell of chlorine. I want to give a good review but one night here just didn’t give me a positive thought to write a good one. Hope they fix these because the place they have is just great and I don’t want it to go to waste for things that can be fix-able.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a really beautiful hotel, with a stunning sea view. The swimming pools are lovely and it is kept very clean and tidy. The grounds are well kept with blooming flowers everywhere you look. Their breakfast spread is also very good and the food is quite good.
The few issues I have are to do with some of the facilities. Twice the water in our room stopped or sputtered on and off. We were also woken up at one point at 6.30am for room service which was just bizarre (thankfully, we were getting up early anyway)
Other than that however, I have no complaints

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just back from Ngwe Saung beach. A place I really love for family vacation. I have visited this place more 50 times. This time we stayed in Sunny paradise Resort. It was my second time in this Hotel. First visit was in January 2008. But this time I and all my friends was seriously disappointed about the quality of service. We were 32 pax in our group. Rooms are very poorly maintained. Break fast quality was worse than a small township hotel. Just an example, Americano coffee come with creamer rather fresh milk. I would complaint about service of the staff but I would give them benifit of doubt. Generally hospitality industry staff in Myanmar are good. I guess hotel management tried to manage all services with limited number of staff. A hotel who charge more than USD100 pet night, should provide better services, Breakfast and well maintained room.
