工房の工程を全て見せてもらいました。
品質にこだわり、時間と手間のかかる仕事を丁寧に行っていました。
一つの器が完成するのに何か月もかかるそうです。
漆の工程がこんなに複雑なものだとは知らずビックリしました。
品質にこだわるだけあって値段は少々高いですが、
少しなら値段交渉もできるし、価値に見合う価格だと思います。
日本大使館にもこのお店の商品が使用されているみたいです。
バガンで何店舗か周り、イロイロと購入しましたが
他の店で購入したものと比べると
やはりこの店の商品は完成度が全然違います。
またバガンに行くのなら次回も是非こちらで買い物したいです。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really enjoyed our visit here. Compared to other lacquerware shops, their tour was a bit more thorough (they had example pieces of each step of the process). The showroom is one of the more comprehensive and varied showrooms in New Bagan. Prices were higher ($17 for small tea cup) but felt higher quality than other places. Lots of signs saying no bargaining. I'm sure you could shop around and find a better intersection of price and quality, but we were happy with the pieces we purchased here!
