 Perfect place to watch the sunset on the river. There were some tourists doing the same. Actually I barely saw the temple.

マーケットに近い場所にあるが、表通りに面していないため、観光客には気付きにくい寺。観光で入っても大丈夫。
ブッダガヤの大菩提寺風の本堂が池の上に建てられている。
1月ごろ(カレン正月?)に灯明祭りがあり、境内に無数の灯がともる。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tucked behind some new developments and off the main street is this run-down place. It looks kind of neat from the outside, and the inside is full of niche-filled buddha statues.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not mentioned in the travel books, this temple is usually overlooked by tourists. Nothing much to see here, but the golden roof is very impressive and the shape is not the usual Burmese style of Buddhist temples. A nice little detour if you are in the vicinity.
