Yoma Cherry Lodge

Beautiful grounds and spa, priced expensively / accordingly. Would love to leave a five star review as the staff are very accommodating & friendly, and the grounds magnificently peaceful, but we were asked to leave because the owner “didn’t want people working there”. We found this offensive as we were paying customers and did nothing but make the place look desirable. She asked our waiter to tell us, which was really insensitive. If she had come and spoken with us directly perhaps we would have felt a bit more respected, but putting your staff in an awkward position like that is just low...Understandable that you want to create an aura of relaxation, but don’t you think someone working on their art at your restaurant is something that people enjoy seeing? (*Mind you I was working on my laptop, no messy paints or charcoal...) Also very sorry to say there is no way to put this lightly: their cucumber salad is an abomination. Who puts a glob of mayonnaise on delicious refreshing cucumbers?!? If you want a good cucumber salad go to the places on the beach, they charge half the price and use much more healthy ingredients. No mayonnaise “mountain”.☻ The tea leaf salad at Yoma Cherry Lodge however is the best on the beach. Try it with a fresh watermelon juice; you won’t regret it!

Disclaimer: I didn't actually stay here, I just ate dinner here one night. This place looks very fancy and well kept. It's located on the southern end of the quiet "middle beach" section of Ngapali. The staff were helpful and spoke very good English. The menu was so refreshing to see because everything wasn't just the same seafood dishes at every other place. Pastas, pizzas, burgers, fries, and chicken dishes all reasonably priced. Portion sizes were plenty, and even the ice cream for dessert was great. Definitely a good first impression and I'd recommend checking this place out, even if it's just for the food!

Yoma Cherry Lodge provided the perfect end to our Myanmar adventure. With enough amenities to keep us well fed and busy, but not so many that the vibe is tainted by a sense of urgency, Yoma Cherry is the perfect balance for relaxation and rest. Sue, the manager, ensured our stay was perfect and our rooms (stayed in both garden view and beach access) were both beautiful and had everything we needed. Would come back again! Breakfast was excellent and our dinners were great too (try their tiger prawns!) We had multiple massages - those ladies are strong! Alao went snorkeling and visted an elephant sanctuary, all easily arranged by the front desk. Also try the seafood at neighbouring restaurants on either side - TO DIE FOR. Especially Coconut Beach with their very sweet staff and those puppies they recently adopted! Try their avocado salad, potato cuthrates and crispy- spicy squid.

The Yoma Cherry Lodge is a wonderfully designed place, with spacious, clean rooms, a beautiful garden and a caring staff! The breakfast is ok, but could be improved. Overall you can find better places to eat nearby. The cocktails are very good though! We enjoyed our stay here especially because of the little bay the Lodge is located at. We found it much better than the main beach of Ngapali.

Such a wonderful place to stay on a beautiful horse shoe bay with a wonderfully tranquil garden behind the beach front bar and restaurant. The rooms are beautifully appointed and the staff are delightful. There are many returning guests and no one ever wants to leave this delightful place on the edge of a typical small Myanmar working fishing village

Loved this resort!! It wasn't until we centered over tho the other beaches where the other resorts are that we realized what a gem the place is. Located right next to a fishing village you have the beach all to your self amongst an the villagers boats and fish laying out to dry,(hope you don't mind a whiff of fish from time to time.) Sue the manager was a sweet heart and the staff are so friendly and willing to please.

I would love to give 4,5 stars. Our room (beachfront) was huge, clean and had a beautiful view with a private terrace facing the beach. Breakfast is ok, but a bit basic. Lunch (we had pizza) and dinner (seafood) was tasty. They have a happy hour each day, the cocktails were the best we had on this beach. Massages are nice, although sometimes a bit hard to communicate beyond the few sentences the staff had learned by heart. All the staff was amazing and put in a lot of effort to meet all our wishes. Only real downside (probably just with our specific room) was that we shared a wall with the bar which made it very noisy from time to time, hence the 4 stars.

6 Stars Lodge. The receptionist Thida is very cheerful. She said whatever we need, ask her, then she will deliver. We did, and she delivered all our requests. Mommy Suu and U Sar, who are the couple running the hotel are very friendly, courteous and cheerful as well. The garden inside the hotel is very nice. I spent a few hours there, instead of the beach!
