★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hotel is ideally located for Old Bagan and the Archaeological Zone. The staff is very nice and happy to be of service and talk to the guests. The rooms were very nice for Myanmar. The grounds were great for the kids to run around on and the pool had a small baby pool.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ That's life and reasonable people accept the 'rough with the smooth. Shower over the bath with plastic curtain rather than separate cubicle. The breakfast buffet was included in my stay and included local, Asian and Western food options. There is the atmosphere of greed at this hotel and at time you get the feeling that guests are only tolerated in exchange for large amounts of USD.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hotel is centrally located just outside of the city walls of Old Bagan. The rooms were fully outfitted with all useful amenities. Service was good throughout the hotel. We loved Bagan and plan to return next year with a large group but when it comes to lodging we will be bringing our business elsewhere.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ All the rooms are small bungalows with sitting areas. We had room B41, which was a really nice room. Plenty of alternatives within easy walking distance. We especially appreciated the fact they weren't pushy about selling their tours and encouraged us to go and negotiate with the horse and cart drivers ourselves.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The guide spoke excellent English and the car (mini van) made for a relaxing way to visit the sites. The location was good. I didn't find the shop expensive and bought a lovely longyi. There is the atmosphere of greed at this hotel and at time you get the feeling that guests are only tolerated in exchange for large amounts of USD.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We booked through an agent in Rangoon and got a good price of $55 per night including breakfast. The rooms were clean. I felt like they knew that they are in a great location and they have relied on that fact only for business. We especially appreciated the fact they weren't pushy about selling their tours and encouraged us to go and negotiate with the horse and cart drivers ourselves. I have no hesitation in recommending Thiripyitsaya to families exploring this extraordinary area.
