★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best hotel in Burma that I have ever stayed in. They have everything you could possibly need: hair dryer, shampoo, soap, toothbrushes, shower cap, flip flops for restroom, toothpaste, razor for shaving+shaving cream, shower robe, towels, coffee, water, wine opener, cups, tissue, scale, chairs, hanger, make up table, ac, tv, lamps, safe, fridge, and a water heater for coffee or something. The staff speaks English better than most places and are very friendly. It's also very clean and quiet. It's also very budget friendly, it was less than $30 including breakfast. In conlusion, if you're staying in Madalay go to this hotel, it's one of the best, and it's budget friendly.

hotel staff is very nice and supportive.
3 times a week (or more) they open the cocktail bar for their guests at atound 6:30 pm. drinks are free!! you get rum and/or gin with your drink.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really helpful staff, nothing was a problem, even a free 2pm late check out. Great local knowledge. The rooms are basic but very clean. Take earplugs, rooms near reception noisy, but considering the price, we were really impressed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing staff, lovely buffet breakfast included, really nice spacious room with cold AC, comfy bed, everything you could ask for, especially for the price! I could hire a moped for the day and book a bus to Bagan straight from the reception. My bag got drenched on the flight over, so they took me up to the rooftop so I could dry all my belongings! I highly recommend this hotel.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hotel is a bit dated, bit otherwise clean. The room we stayed in had a constant flow of one or two mosquitos. You would get one and another would appear. Not sure where they were coming from. The breakfast was a mix of Asian and Continental. The hotel staff were very kind and polite. It was an overall good experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed 5 days at Hotel A1 and had only great experiences. The staff is really helpful with organizing trips (for very small money), gave us early check in and we've got also a special view from the rooftop of the hotel.
The wifi is quite good and worked in our room. We'd definitely come back if we'd have another stay in Mandalay.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice, friendly and helpful staff, very good rooms. We enjoyed a nice and funny "Merry Christmas" cocktail party with the staff and some other hotel guests. Breakfast is also fine with a nice elevated view over parts of Mandalay.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is an excellent hotel without the need to pay a fortune. The staff are all respectful, keen and attentive and always work hard to make every aspect of the stay a comfortable one. The rooms are airy and comfortable with plenty of hot water always available. The top floor breakfast has a good food selection. Taxis are available outside to reach the further points of this expanding city.
