★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm going to support most of the other reviewers - this place is a lovely retreat about 7km out of town, set between two limestone mountains, one being the stunning Mt Zwe Kabin. At night the stupas on top are alight.
The rooms are lovely and roomy, most with good views of the mountain. The bathroom was good.
Restaurant food is a dual western / Asian menu, with a bias towards western, it's target customer. We ate Asian here when we actually ate at this restaurant - a more limited menu, but still nice - try the lentil, glass noodle soup.
Breakfasts are really good!
Take service by local Kayin people is very good - great training and employment opportunity for them.
Reception staff were fantastic - friendly, very helpful.
We had a lovely 4 nights there - a couple of days too short!!
Couple of issues we had:
1. We had booked the skydome - we felt claustrophobic in it and changed to a normal room - the staff were good about this!
2. WiFi & mobile service was OK at best - slow uploads in particular & seemed to drop out for short periods. Difficult location between the mountains.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you want natural beauty then this is the place, you stay in large log cabins which have air conditioning a huge wet room and floor to ceiling windows so when you awake the first thing you see is a mountain range. I sat out on the balcony every night in the comfortable chairs and with a cold beer in my hand thought how lucky I was to be here. The sunset is wonderful, the restaurant is candle lit and the food is very good, wine is expensive but not massively and all the staff do everything for you. It's first rate.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really peaceful and scenic. Spacious room. Thoughtful design details. Friendly and helpful staff. Delicious dinner. I had pork chops. Just before we left, I found a big spider on my clothes pile near my lagguage. I got freaked out so was she. The hotel staff came and helped me find it but it disappeared. Hopefully, it didn't come along for a ride with me.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed for two nights but would have loved to stay for a week.
Great room, soft mattress, hot water and strong water pressure. Great views from your bed right on to the surrounding limestone mountains. No need for a TV or internet if you stay in a place like this.
Loved the beef burger and pasta for Lunch, as well as the beef tenderloin and goat cheese salad for dinner.
Do trekking or sightseeing in the morning and spend a relaxing afternoon in the lodge and at the swimming pool.
We will be back, hopefully soon. A lot to explore in this area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Close to nature, spectacular view of the mountains. Loved the rooms, services, and breakfast was exceptional. Always order the local noodles. Spa was inexpensive and a nice small pool to unwind after long day of hiking. Definitely recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely garden setting and overall very positive experience. Our cabin had an amazing view overlooking Zwekabin mountain. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, though would not recommend the dinner - much better options at local establishments.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing amazing amazing. No words to describe it. This place was so relaxing the bungalows built completely in wood are extremely spacious and comfortable. The restaurant and bar area keeps a very relaxing atmosphere with great quality food. All of this is at the feet of mount Zwekabin surrounded by green and nature. If you go to Hpa an you must stay here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stunning views from your rooms! Well maintained rooms and lodges. Loved every bit of my stay here. The staff is friendly and prompt. Pool is a wee bit too small but that’s fine. Enjoy the good greenery and breeze sitting outside your room. Couple of things to note - breakfast is decent but otherwise food isn’t anything great. In the family Karen lodge, the bathroom door has no lock so it’s a bit awkward.
